Travel in Thailand

Hello everyone, my name is Wu Linjun, I’m going to introduce my tourism in Thailand which was relaxing and fantastic.

My first stop in Thailand was the Patong Beach in Phuket island. As one of the world’s top 10 diving places, Patong beach is the most well developed and popular beach on Phuket Island. When I got up, it was already at noon. I had some food in hotel and started enjoying the beach. I rented a reclining chair for the whole afternoon and lay on it reading my book with sea breeze and the sound of ocean wave, both my body and my soul are completely relaxed.

In the evening, I went to Simon which is the biggest theater of katoey performance. The performance were great but one bad thing is that taking picture is not allowed during the performance. At night, I walked along the street next to the beach, there were a lot of small stores on the street and on thing I found very strange is that almost all them are opened by Indian people, until today, I still didn’t get an answer about this phenomena. I walked along the street for half an hour and a very flourishing street showed up. It’s a long street that was perpendicular to the beach and extended toward inside the island. I walked in and found it’s a bar street. In some bars, girls were doing pole dancing while in some of other bars, bands were playing music. The next day, I took speed boat to see some other small islands near Phuket; the ocean was beautiful and bays were attractive as well. On the third day, I move to the other side of Phuket, the a beach called Kata was located there. Kata beach has better beach and more beautiful water, and of course, more guests.

I spent my last two days in Bangkok for sightseeing and shopping. I visited the Grand Palace. The Grand Palace was built in 1872, it has been the official residence for more than a hundred years. All the architectures are designed as Thai style. I found two interesting things in the Grand Palace. One is in the hall where the emperor conducts national affairs, I found there isn’t any air conditioner in the hall. All the windows were locked so that it made me feel asphyxiated.

The other thing is the guard in the Grand Palace, I cannot imagine this kind of man can be called guard who is bow-backed and equipped with an old gun which does not even had a cartridge clip and there is a rusty dagger on the front of the gun. Although my last day was for shopping, I discovered that I don’t have things that are necessary to buy, so I just walked around the shopping mall which is the largest one in Asia. This picture is taken on the bridge when it’s rush hour in the evening. Local people told me that traffic breakdown everyday at this time. The only thing I found interesting is Mcdonald’s.

The tourism was fabulous, Thailand is a good place to travel.
