Time elapsed, I have been in Columbus,USA for 1 month already. And in the past month I experienced a lot. Food here is palatable. People here are hospitable and amiable.And the bus system here is ...okay, acceptable.Also,there are many things different from that in China.
People here are really nice, especially the way they drive.When we walkers are trying to cross the road, the drivers here would stop and wait until we reach the opposite side. Even we are jaywalking, they would do the same thing. I relish walking here, but in China , not at all.Walking in China is struggle.Drivers there are unhappy.They have been irritated by the everyday traffic jam, so they would catch every chance to higher their speed.The right-turing vehicles won’t wait for the walkers,the walkers have to wait until the car passed.I can still remember in this summer, when I tried to cross a crossroad in hash hour, the right-turing cars kept coming, and I had to wait for 10 mins!!Walkers here are so lucky!
Folk are so fascinated by sports here.Before the move in day , rarely can I saw people here until that Saturday.That’s a sunny,warm weekend, I waked up and looked through the window.Oh my god, I hadn’t seen so many American with my own eyes ever before.A red sea of people was there.And that’s my first time to know how crazy they are captivated by football.
In contrast , the bus system here is not as convenient as that in China.The waiting time between two bus of a same line ,compared to that in China ,is too long.And bus lines here can not take me everywhere I want.In short, I suffered a lot from it.Yesterday, my friends and I planned to go Easton Town Center. We should take line 2 and then transfer to line 95.But we got off the line 2 one station extra.So we walked back.Then we found a bus sign 20 yards to a crossroad with “LINE 95” on it.We wait there.”Oh, I see the bus!” A line 95 bus was coming. Guess what happened? The bus turned right and ran away, disappeared on our horizon!! We found another station on the way it left. It seems that the COTA changed the bus line and hadn’t removed the former Bus signs.We had to wait in the bus station for another hour.Yesterday is rainy and chilly.And unfortunately I wore only a tee and a shirt.That’s is the worst day I have had here.
Over all, I love here. I love the different views brought by the changeable weather.I love the chinese restaurant called Moy’s. And I love the new friends mede here.
ps: Now I already know that the line 95 has 2 destinations.
And in that day we were waiting in a wrong direction.
