Question 1 discusses the student in 107G is assigned a paper which is same as the one that he has done in 106G. The student fixes his old paper by adding some sentences and hand it in. The student should ask the 107 teacher whether he could rewrite the paper because it is the safest way. Question 8 talks about the student copied and pasted an article from Internet and put it to the class list online. This must be considered to be plagiarism because he just copied and pasted without citation or reference list.

I learnt from question 1 that I mustn’t submit the similar paper to two or more assignment from different classes since it will be considered as plagiarism. If I have to do this, I must talk about the question to the teacher at first to avoid plagiarism. As an undergraduate student, the situations in question 2 and 5 are especially important to me to avoid them. I think common knowledge should be cited because I’m not sure whether this knowledge is common to the people who read the paper. It’s usual that some information cannot be found, I think the best way to solve this problem is to find someone else (or teacher) to discuss this problem.
