As you see, now I am an international student in OSU and will spend at least 4 years studying here. Although I have visited the USA once ago, it is my first time to live in America as a university student instead of a foreign traveler. During the first month, many things were fresh to me and it took me a little bit time to adapt, but I really like the new life here. Anyway, let me describe one Monday in OSU.
I usually wake up at 10 am since my first class is at 12:30. At about 11:45, I leave my doom to take my English class. I set out very early to prevent being late because I have extremely bad sense of direction. Can you imagine that I feel the buildings and roads look totally different at night from these in daytime? What’s worse, unfortunately, OSU is so different from Chinese university. In China, schools are built with walls that separate whole school from outside, and the roads are almost straight companying with guideposts. As a result, I often lose my way in the forest of buildings or take a roundabout routine. Of course I will not allow this to happen again and again, so I figure out my method. For example, I want to go a hall I am not sure where is, first I will call my friends, asking for someone to go with me or describe me the route. If no one is available, I will go to main buildings, which I know how to get there like Thompson Library, than use Google map in IPhone and my limited memory. To me every day is an adventure, missing and finding a new place.
After I finish my two classed on Monday at 5pm, I go to the main library for homework. It is my favorite building in OSU and I spend almost all my free time here. Every time when I walk in, I cannot only experience quiet, brightness, and vigorous studying atmosphere, the characteristics all libraries have, but also enjoy the advanced facilities. You can see millions of book through glass, uncountable chairs and computers (you don’t need to bring heavy laptop), and various types of studying areas: group study room, quiet study area, reading room and etc. I like to stay on the second floor, what about you?
7:30, dinnertime! I often have it in north commons since my meal plan is traditional. I have to say that I hate food offered by college: cheeses, fired chips, sweet cakes, all are high-energy. Every time I eat a whole plate of raw vegetable without sauce, I feel like an herbivore, such as a rabbit. In China, people seldom eat raw vegetable because we feel it is unhygienic and uncivilized. In Chinese recipes, a simple vegetable can be cooked in numerous ways. A wife who often gives salad to family is labeled as lazy and unskillful. I miss my mother’s dishes so much that I asked her recipes to learn cook by myself. I am not good at this but I am sure I will try myself.
Whatever, this is how my new life roughly looks: like in OSU. It can hardly termed by one word since bittersweet all comes together. I believe in myself that when I graduate, I will have an outstanding memory.

If I want to go another hall, I will do the same things with you. calling my friend, finding building which I know, Using iPhone GPS. About dinner, if you don't like school's dinner, you can go my home, I think I can cook some chinese foods for you, because of I live in University Village. Also you can cook whatever you want to eat. Telling a secret, I am very confident about cooking, because I think that I cook better than others. Welcome to my house.
