Blog#2 American Life --Shixiao Xu

I have stay here for a most 30 days. There are three main points that I want to trace about my Columbus’s life.

Different Culture

There are many differences between American culture and China culture. If we bring our Buckeye to take a bus, then we will not pay it. In China, even though, we are students, we have to pay for taking bus. In America, Everyday I go to school, Getting on the school bus, the bus driver will say ”Good morning” and getting off the bus, the bus driver will say ”Have a good day”. It is making me warm and happy when I hear it. On the road, if I looked at each other, then they will smile to me. At first, I was not adapting to it, and I was considering to why they always smile to me. After a few day, I found a result that why they always simile to me, because of it expression a friendly. Only a smile, it makes us happier and familiar.

Studying

America is different from China, whether in the class or off the class. In the class, students are allowed to bring the computer that we can use to write notes. In China, this is the order of the ban. Before we take class, we can know what we will learn. We are using Carmen where has lots of information about class. We could find our homework and do it on the Carmen. It is making us convenient and efficient.

Daily life

Next I will present my daily life. In American, food is cheaper than China except vegetable. I think Americans a month's salary is enough to buy a lot of necessity. Moreover, In Columbus, the traffic is not convenient. So, most people will buy car. Let me give you an example, we were going to Chinese Market, called “Hua Xing”. However, it’s too far away from my home. First we need to take No.2 bus about 30 minutes. Then we stayed here and changed No.95 bus. Finally we took this bus about 30 minutes. In China, there are lots of markets nearby such as, Warlmat and Carrefour.
