Confucian' principles thrived in thousands years and became basic rules in common Chinese tradition and belief. However, People know little about story of the founder of Confucian' principles, Confucius. Actually, Confucius’s life is miserable and full of danger.When Confucius was born, china was in The Warring States Period. His father passed away when Confucius was three years old and he was grew up with his mother in poverty. Confucius was appointed Minister of public works in Lu,a small kingdoms in central china. He offended members of the nobility who were vying with duke for power. He was subsequently forced to leave his office and went into exile.He has never left his country before and he know absolutely nothing about other kingdoms in china.Furthermore,It is especially hard to survive in a turbid world in that time.Only when faced such a predicament can one man demonstrate his complete ability. Confucius began his long journey around the small kingdoms of northeast and central China. Thanks to his experience in more than 10 years exile, he was able to understand this world profoundly.In conclusion, with the suffering he tolerated, the challenge he face, his capability can entirely unleash  and thus made his own principle unique and easy to accept by others.

Confucius’ idea still affect Chinese people today. For example, Chinese government proposed a idea called “Harmonious society” which means the overall societal even distribution and harmony.This notion is the modern explanation of ren, one of Confucian basic virtues which means humaneness in English. “Never impose on others what you would not choose for yourself.”Confucius said. Because Confucius was born in a war period, his idea about humaneness is hard to accept by those duke. However, today, thanks to modern technology, his idea can be spread to whole of China and the world.

Furthermore, he insisted the importance of li, which means rituals in English. He considered that education, tea drinking, and music as various forms of li.Nowadays, people start to pay attention to it. Parents are willing to send their children to learn how to play Chinese instruments or how to make tea.

Confucius story inspire me a lot. Everyone has to face different challenge in their life.Without those challenges, life is not life.Study abroad is one of those challenges.Like Confucius’ exile,I have never leave my home before.It’s my first time live without my parent.I have to handle everything by myself.Also I need to know how to communicate with peoples with different culture, from different country.The situations Confucius and I face are somewhat familiar. We came to a world that we have never been before.His experience made me believe that whatever bad things happen to me, just face it with patience and optimism. Collect the experience every time and I can know how to figure them out next time.
