With the growth of international students, such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Indian, who are not used to the educational policy of American, the problems of plagiarism are rising. Avoiding of academic misconduct is being reemphasized again with a great concern for more people on it from every aspect. The major reasons of the increment of the plagiarism can be simplified as cultural diversity and in adaption of the new policies.

The first reason is cultural diversity is one of the most fundamental reasons causing academic misconduct. Cause student from different culture diversity have different understanding of plagiarism. For example when I was study in china, plagiarism is a serious issue mentioned but only can plagiarism another people answer in exam. To some extent, people in china allow this behaviors cause the first reason is we haven’t prefect law in china, so we could download something on internet without paying for it. If this behaviors in American, this is infringement of copyright.

The second reason is about in adaption of the new policies. For example, some students are not extensive vocabulary and not very fluent using communicate with English so they may not exactly understand what the rule of professor, what they can do, what they cannot do, these problem making them disgusting emotion to academic so confused about it resulting to the academic misconduct.

The solution I give to about academic plagiarism have two ideas. The first we need some advance avoid academic plagiarism system, through the advanced technology have someone reason to academic plagiarism, but if we have more advance system we can stop this behavior. The second idea is we need communicate more. As we discussed in second paragraph, the main reason is about diversity of international students. If professor and faculties could talk with them more about academic misconduct in university those students would remember this serious problem profoundly.
