A digital story “Outside the Glass” which is posted on “http://digitalstory.osu.edu/stories/community/” shows her personal experience in Honduras. She attends this community to go out-side of her comfortable, teach the HIV/AIDS students from her formal student’s inviting. She supports her collaboration of students. Moreover, she learned guide of students and hospitality, community assets from students. She underlined a chance what she got in Honduras that got a different aspects of people and community.
This digital story is pretty well formed of contents and smooth voice. Suggestion of tile with begin is a good way to introduce and it makes me expect what the next contents is. Some of pictures were showed in symbol meaning and it stirred my mind. However, there are some missing points that producer’s failure to consider “viewer”. First of all, the mean of changing narrator in the middle of video is critical missing point. Most of viewers can feel embarrassed in the middle of the video as they already accustomed in first narrator’s voice. It precludes tender flow of emotion. Even-thought she wants to insert other’s voice in video, she has to choose the voice what makes feel more fit in this video flow. I understand the producer’s intend that wants to show other person’s opinion in vivid testimony but it surely shows hindrance of flow. Second, the most of basic technical skill was missed. Monotonous frame of changing pictures makes viewer really boring. Lastly, I feel bored when surrounding music and narrating were stopped in same time even in the middle of video. Of course calming in video is maybe intended things by producer but it was not a sensible idea.
