I chose this picture because it strongly supports the content and shows the main point in my digital story, which is about the varied ways in celebrating my birthday in my growth. It is from http://www.kpzhe.com/attachment/201006/5/3_12757217342TE8.eps.thumb_m.jpg and used in my digital story. The picture is image IP and I am supposed to figure out the purpose of my usage is for pleasure and the widespread of the distribution is within my classmates. Also, I give credits to these pictures in my digital story. These pictures make it more vivid and interesting for my story. And, others will enjoy the story and grasp the meaning of the story easily. We should give credits to others and follow the rules to in both the using of resources and citation in writing. However, the using of citation in academic is more formal.
As far as I am concerned, digital storytelling provides us an opportunity to put the “4 Fair Use Guidelines” into practice and enhance our understanding of intellectual property. Meanwhile, we have access to the technologies and master the skills about how to record voice and create the video, which produce a far-reaching impact on us. The using of sources based on the content in the digital story and we need to pick up these resources from Internet. However, when putting pictures together, we pay more attention to organizing pictures and make them match contents in the story. Furthermore, culture exerts a significant impact on writing digital story and DST: it influences our background knowledge and the view we have about the amount of using outside resources.
