This is a picture in my digital story. It is from http://www.elledecor.com/image/tid/5796 this picture us an implicit image used to describe my digital story topic is my first road trip in USA. This picture is Chicago famous attraction name is Cloud gate in Millennium Park. As a result I select a picture of attraction at the beginning of the digital story to make my point clear. This picture can attract the audience’s attention about what the story focus and make my main point more outstanding. Before I put this picture in my digital story, I need to consider the picture IP address and the owner copyright. In the end according to the citation rule and fair use of guidelines, I cite it correctly and my usage is limited and just sharing personal opinions rather than for business and another area. I think both the digital story and academic essay need proper usage of these sources. However, I think academic essay better need inclines to use the article than digital story. Therefore the rule of citation is an important rule to usage of sources in academic essay.

I think this digital story is a both challenging and interesting mission. It does not only need the writing skills and also the pronunciation skills. The process of making video is my first. I think this provides me a chance to learning media production and touching new area about media. Through my digital story gain a deeper understanding of intellectual property and copyright. Using pictures in a writing piece is similar to citing an article to support the point of essay, as both of them are in risk of copyright and intellectual if used without citations. No mater the cultural difference, the protecting copyright and intellectual property is the same. Though the definition of plagiarism is different culture background.
