 reason why I use this picture is to stress the difference between the Chinese and American education systems. The source of this picture is from www.cartoonstock.com. The nature of source is definitely published and the purpose I used it is for education not commercial because I use it to illustrate my idea in my presentation. By seeing this picture, my audience can fully understand that Chinese students’ homework is much heavier than American students’ and the revolution of education system should be deployed quickly. I consider the usage of picture in digital story is very similar to that in my essay. I have to consider the amount of usage, the nature of source, etc. The difference is that in writing, I need to paraphrase some words form my source to make it easier to understand. But for digital story, almost all of intellectual property is pictures. Thus, I don’t have to think about paraphrasing anymore.

 

In my opinion, this assignment helps me a lot. It makes me comprehend the concept of intellectual property and how to use it properly. On the other hand, it teaches me how to use iMovie and audacity, which will help me to how do well in a presentation in the future. I find my pictures on Google and Wikipedia by typing the specific name I want to express in my story. Culture has a significant impact for one’s writing. It’s the spirit of on person and because of this reason, people will think differently by their culture background. For instance, In our class, two Turkish were happy to share their experience in Istanbul  and  people from china also like to share their experience in Beijing or their hometown.
