【Blog e.e..eight】Qian Jiaxing

Although we are complaining why there is always blogs on weekend, we feel reluctant to part from writing blogs.

This picture is from http://sc.168g.com/scew/RFile/FileDesk/202/01015/20070503001233240.jpg. It shows a scene that whole class standing in the stage, maybe singing or oral reading. Everyone has their own faces, some looks wierd, some happy, some poker -faced, some sleeping, but they belong to a community. My digital story is something about friendship. I choose this picture because I want to show others we are good friends. We have been studying in the same classroom and we experienced the same things. We are a group and can never be separated. This links to my theme and enhances my point. Not only I think friends is important, many famous artists also use friends as their subject. I searched this picture in baidu.com which is a search engine like google.com. But I did not give credits to baidu.com. I found the original website and use the URL that the picture originally comes from. Compared to the citation in my writing, both of them need reference list. However, I do not need to “paraphrase” the pictures. I just use the picture directly and refer the URL in the last. It is more informal than academic writing.

I like making digital story because it is different from and more interesting than doing paper work. It is similar to using others’ sources in digital story and writing, however, it teaches me how to use audacity and movie maker in addition. Also I experienced how to record my voice in whisper room. That is really an amazing undergoing, as if I am a professional radio host. Sharing story with others is a meaningful thing. We can know each other better and learn various cultures. Consideration of culture is important, and we need to learn more about how American think and write.
