Hi, everybody, it's blog time to share something again and, this time, I want to talk about some experience during this month with presenting some specific examples with you.
First of all, the most impressive thing I ever met in Columbus is the hospitality of people here. Everybody here will feel free to talk with somebody else even though they are not familiar with each other, however people in China hardly communicate with strange people in public. Just like a few weeks ago, while pacing on N High Street to find a place to eat, a old man who is walking the dog coming by and said "good morning, gentleman", all of sudden, I was so confused who he was talking to that don't even know how to respond. After being noticed by my friends, a feeling of happiness came up in mind. Indeed, people don't have to be individual or separate apart from others.
Additionally, I was stuned by the highly strong feel of social responsibility which people have nearly in every aspect in everywhere especially near campus. For example, the cross on the N High St and W Lane Ave is always busy and full of vehicles waiting for crossing the road, and to my surprise, not like what some chinese impatient drivers did, every driver here hardly honk the horn to urge others not even pedestrians, even when they were supposed to cross which presents very harmony social atmosphere without panicking others.
What's more, as a international student coming from china, I was unavoidably panic before coming to Columbus, but during the first month here, I gradually realize that it is totally unnecessary because I can not only get help from every people around me once I had trouble, but also it feels so great to be involved in this huge multicultural campus with a lot of fun, just like the splendid RPAC, and the fruitful resource we could get, as well as the delicious food around campus.
To be honest, I could feel very hornered to get the chance to study here and advocate my enthusiasm to this wonderful university.
